Bishop Nehru has been the name of the industry this year. Bishop undoubtedly has bars for days and sounds mature for his age. Coming out at fifteen with a remarkable debut Nehruvia, peeps in the game are hearing a lot from this kid.  The lyrical cadence of a six year old from Rockland County ring bells and put other artists back in the booth putting in work. Now he is back with another project that describes his delivery: Strictly Flowz. Can he put another quality album that will keep the listeners at his direction?
This album is a refreshing way to start. The beginning of the track “Start” explains whether Bishop is an emcee or a rapper; a test of wits to see if he can keep up in the game. The producers on this project gel well with his lyrical flow. “Flow 1” explains why Bishop is a beast on the microphone: I write these rhymes while you lighting nines/and this one is for my brothas on Rikers island/no lying niggas with blonde hair, I’m a lion/realigning the game is getting tiring The xylophone infused “Introvertz” is an example of musical creativity as Bishop killed this track easily while “Muffled M.I.C.” has the hard beat pattern that puts Bishop on the spot. One thing about this album is the innovativeness is on point. Bishop loves to push the envelope on the Raz Fresco ominous beat “Mobb Dizzle” where he switched his voice and sound smooth on the instrumental and the other standout track “77” proves Bishop’s point of killing competitors with a sixteen.
Overall, this project does not suffer from the sophomore jinx at all. This project hits hard on every level. It’s obvious that Bishop Nehru will place artists in a lyrical stretcher before their career even started. The only problem with this project is the length on some of the tracks and the album. The dark moody beat Herring Franky provided on “Angel” place the beat pattern perfectly while Bishop bodied that track. Other tracks like “96 Blueprint” and as stated before “Flow 1” are the beats that Bishop can flow with perfection but the tracks are two minutes long which leave fans wanting more. The thing about Bishop is he is so nice his fans want more of him and he can easily attract new fans. The project is hard hitting regardless in which the album and song lengths are just a minor issue that does not suck out the consistency of the album. If you look at it quality of the music is a big difference and some projects with only ten songs sound better than your average fifteen plus track projects. In any case, “Strictly Flowz” is another gem and Bishop already pushed his way through lyrical greatness. Presented by Peter Rosenberg, this is a winning ticket for Bishop Nehru and his producers of Raz, Ghost McGrady, Herring Franky and others. It holds up to the same consistency as Nehruvia with a contemporary twist. You see the hunger spark from the sixteen year old from Rockland County. He is the young artist to look out for with Strictly Flowz,
