Jersey’s
J Bux comes on the scene hungry with thee street storytelling lyrics. He is no
stranger to the microphone working with many Queensbridge members. J Bux has
the work ethic including the coke story mixtapes. With the streets watching and
talking, J Bux comes out with another mixtape: Coke Stories 1.5.
This album takes the listener to
another level with powerful storytelling rhymes that paints a picture. It gets
you in the mood of how the hood works. The album starts off on the moody level
where the production is well balanced. Take “Rap Sheet” (remix) featuring Gun
Play where Morphene add the slick singing style to it while “Atticka” featuring
Milano where Morephene Beats add the scratches into it. J Bux flow nice on both
tracks: desert storm dogs dash box in the Uzis rhyme says enough about hoods
walk in silence. The momentum of the mixtape still keeps intact during the
middle tracks as well. “Invest in Cain” and “I Know” keeps the street energy intact
while the Arrab Muzik produced “Snapped” matches the lyrical content of J Bux exercising
beat compatibility. One of the best tracks is how you end this mixtape with “I
Got Bricks” with a dark and moody beat added with the awesome kicks.
Overall, this mixtape is a great
listen as J Bux is getting warmed up for his next opus. J Bux has the lyrical
content to keep up with other street storytelling emcees. His alternate
delivery stays with the beats provided by Morphene Beats, ADM Beats and Arrab
Musik. With the energy and on point
delivery, J Bux will be the emcee to look out for from the Brick City.
